Rosacea
Rosacea is a common skin condition that causes blushing or flushing and visible blood vessels in your face. It may also produce small, pus-filled bumps. These signs and symptoms may flare up for weeks to months and then go away for a while. Rosacea can be mistaken for acne, other skin problems or natural ruddiness.
There's no cure for rosacea, but treatment can control and reduce the signs and symptoms. It often characterized by an overproduction of sebum in the skin, which creates inflammation and redness to appear and sometimes even pustules, or acne rosacea. This skin disease often needs a medical diagnosis from your provider to be addressed properly.

The most important step in treating and preventing symptoms of rosacea is to develop a proper skin care regimen. Medical-grade skin care products can be used to address excess sebum and the compromised skin barrier. Your provider may also recommend other in-office treatments such as IPL Photofacial, which can help with the redness and broken capillaries that have surfaced.
